Blockchain is an emerging suprasystem

Conceptually, blockchain is a “single ledger that delivers trust, transfer and settlement for all types of asset- and resource exchanges”.

BUT it's also an emerging NEW “suprasystem” — that spawns a new form of distributed intelligence. Yes — intelligence…..quite a value proposition, right?

Wiki says: “Suprasystems and -organisms are well known from cybernetics. They exhibit a form of “distributed intelligence” through a system in which many individual agents with limited intelligence and information are able to pool resources to accomplish a goal beyond the capabilities of the individuals.”

It’s a fact that an application as BitCoin is autonomous and distributed. It works through a collective effort of sovereign agents, serving their own interests, yet collaborating.

It’s also a fact that Ethereum follows the same model — only this time it’s a world computer that is being created. Both contains their own means-of-payment, a token.

Did you know that its estimated that more than 150.000 developers are contributing to Ethereum?…..imagine the amount of intelligence this involves and it’s easy to picture why and how a new sophisticated kind of group-intelligence can emerge — that can accomplish things that are beyond existing structures.
